The Community Services Unit (CSU) of the West Vancouver Police Department is part of the Support Section of the West Vancouver Police Department Organizational Chart.

The CSU consists of four police officers, a civilian Block Watch coordinator, and is backed up by a diverse and dedicated volunteer network.

The CSU coordinates and delivers all of the Department’s community based events and aims to reduce crime and the fear of crime through proactive partnerships, information bulletins and media alerts.

The CSU manages the following portfolios:

• Block Watch program
• Business Watch program
• Community event planning
• Crime Free Multi Housing program
• Crime Prevention through Environmental Design program
• High school liaison
• Medial liaison
• Seniors visitation program
• Student Work Advisory Team
