I grew up in the Lower Mainland and graduated from high school in 2002. I attended Douglas College where I obtained a diploma in Criminology.
Growing up, I played every kind of sport. I love staying active, from snowboarding to golfing. My main focus though, was hockey and I played Junior for four years. Before policing, I washed cars, did security, worked at a mill and refereed hockey. I also coached a hockey team for five years and volunteered at a community policing center for two years.

In a successful 16 year career as a police officer, I have had the opportunity to work in a wide variety of operational assignments including: patrol, organized crime, surveillance teams, bike patrol, Intelligence Unit and have been a supervisor for uniform and plain clothes teams. I joined because I wanted to make a difference and I wanted a job that would have excitement, thrills, and something different every day! I wanted the camaraderie of a team and the uniqueness of a family. This job is rewarding, exciting and everyday is a new adventure.

I grew up in West Vancouver and attended Westcot Elementary School and then Sentinel Senior Secondary. In my senior year I transferred over to West Vancouver Senior Secondary to play football. After high school I received a football scholarship to Wenatchee Valley Junior College in Washington State. I then returned to Canada and attended UBC to play Canadian University football while earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Classical Studies.
