West Vancouver Police arrest two males after taxi driver was robbed.

On July 23, 2011, the West Vancouver Police Department received a report of a robbery in the area of Mathias Road and Rivers Road in West Vancouver.The victim reported two males had assaulted, threatened and robbed him, and attempted to take his taxi.

The West Vancouver Police quickly responded and located two males who fit the description a short distance away. Both males were arrested, a subsequent search of their person revealed property belonging to the victim and a small quantity of what police believe is cocaine.

Arrested and held for court in relation to this offence is a 24-year-old male of no fixed address. Also arrested and released after a Judicial Justice of the Peace (JJP) hearing is a 27-year-old male from North Vancouver.

Police will be recommending the following charges: Robbery, Possession of Stolen Property, Uttering Threats, Breaching an Undertaking, and Possession of a Controlled Substance.
