Investigators have recovered a vehicle sought in a suspicious death investigation.

A vehicle belonging to Vahid MAHANIAN, a man found deceased this week off Cypress Bowl Road in West Vancouver has been recovered on the lower mainland and seized by investigators.

As part of the ongoing investigation process, Police are withholding specific information regarding the recovery site.

Prior to discovery of MAHANIAN's body Tuesday, the 35 year old man had been reported missing to Police June 30, 2011.  MAHANIAN was last known to be in contact with family or friends June 27, 2011.(NV RCMP File#2011-18037)  The cause of death remains under investigation. 

Investigators are continuing to ask any member of the public who may have noticed suspicious activity on Cypress Bowl Road recently or who has information regarding MAHANIAN's whereabouts since June 27, 2011 to contact West Vancouver Police.

West Vancouver Police have a Detective seconded to VPD Homicide as part of a working agreement under which suspicious deaths in West Vancouver are jointly investigated by VPD and WVPD.
