| West Vancouver Police - holiday card contest |
The West Vancouver Police select a winner for the 2011 holiday card contest
In early 2011, the West Vancouver Police introduced the WVPD holiday card contest, which was opened to all West Vancouver high school students, in an effort to invoke community spirit and involve and acknowledge West Vancouver youth in a positive way. Students were asked to create a holiday card that embodied three parameters: their community, the West Vancouver Police and the holiday season. Final submissions were voted on by WVPD members and staff in order to identify a winner. The West Vancouver Police want to congratulate Erin Johnston, a grade 9 student at Collingwood Secondary School, who is this year’s contest winner. The card will be used as the official WVPD holiday greeting card in 2011 and a formal presentation is expected to be made to Ms. Johnston in the fall.
The West Vancouver Police want to thank all West Vancouver high school students who participated in this contest and hope that next year’s contest will be even more successful.
