WVPD - Summer Safety Tips
The WVPD would like to remind everyone to make sure you lock all accessible windows and doors before going to sleep. Quite often primarily due to the hot weather, people may not always be conscious of the opportunities they may unknowingly create for unsavory individuals.
The WVPD also would to remind everyone to not leave their pets in a vehicle with windows closed for any length of time, the temperature inside a vehicle can quickly rise above and beyond the temperature outside and cause undue stress which may result in serious injury or death of a pet.
The WVPD encourages everyone to be proactive and take all responsible steps to ensure their safety and the safety of their loved ones.
