West Vancouver Police enforcement Initiative leads to six vehicles being impounded.

On November 13, 2011, the West Vancouver Police Department Traffic Section set up an enforcement initiative in the 800-block of the Trans Canada Highway, West Vancouver.
 

Traffic members were targeting excessive speeders. Six violators were caught travelling more than 41 kilometers per hour over the posted speed limit.
 

Each violator was issued a violation ticket for excessive speed and fined $368, as well as having their vehicles impounded for a seven day period.
 

The registered owners of the vehicle are financially responsible for the towing and storage fee of the vehicles.
 

West Vancouver Police are continuing to make a presence on the Trans Canada Highway in order to keep the roadways of West Vancouver safe and accident free.
 

Police are reminding motorists of the heavy penalties associated with speeding and wish all residents safe driving.
