A transit operator is recovering from facial injuries after being allegedly assaulted on November 12, 2011 in West Vancouver.

 

The incident occurred shortly after midnight, in the 4900-block of Marine Drive, when two males were denied boarding a West Vancouver Transit bus because of suspected intoxication. The investigation has determined the operator was then assaulted and suffered injuries, including a broken nose.

The suspects ran from the scene.
 

West Vancouver Police officers attended and quickly arrested two males in the area without incident.
 

West Vancouver Police are recommending charges of Assault Cause Bodily Harm against two males, aged 16 and 17 years, both of West Vancouver.
Both individuals have been released on a Promise to Appear in Court on December 19, 2011, with conditional undertakings.
