Three arrested after stolen vehicle recovered on Cypress Bowl Road
On Sept 20, 2011, the West Vancouver Police stopped a black Honda Accord for speeding in the 3700-block of Cypress Bowl Road. The officer approached the vehicle and queried driver and his three occupants through the Canadian Police Information Centre.
The results of the officer’s checks indicated the vehicle, licence plates and insurance decal were stolen from Burnaby. As a result, the officer arrested all four occupants.
The driver was arrested for Possession of Stolen Property and identified as 38-year-old Aristetutuo Macale CABEBE from Burnaby, B.C. A subsequent search of CABEBE revealed a large knife in hidden in his waistband.
CABEBE‘s 23-year-old male passenger, from Vancouver, was arrested for breaching his recognizance. CABEBE’s 21-year-old female passenger was arrested for being in possession of a driver’s licence which was determined to have been stolen during a robbery that had occurred in Burnaby.
CABEBE and his 23-year-old passenger were transported to the North Vancouver Provincial Courthouse on September 21, 2011, to answer on the proposed charges, while the 21-year-old female passenger was released on a Promise to Appear with conditions and to appear in court at a later date. The fourth passenger was not charged with any offences.
