West Vancouver Police are working to identify a suspect involved in an assault on Saturday Night. 

On August 20th, 2011 at approximately 09:45pm a 45 year old male victim was seriously injured during a road rage incident.

The incident occurred on Marine Dr. just east of Taylor Way.  After passing through the intersection of Taylor Way and Marine Drive, the victim pulled over to allow an aggressive motorist to pass.

The aggressive motorist also pulled over and got out of his vehicle and approached the victim’s vehicle. Once at the victim’s vehicle the suspect punched the victim in the face while the victim remained inside his vehicle.

The victim got out of his vehicle to defend himself and the suspect ran back to his own vehicle, got in and accelerated into the victim’s vehicle, pinning the victim between the two vehicles.

As a result of the incident both vehicles were damage and the victim sustained serious injuries. The victim was transported to Lions Gate Hospital via ambulance to be treated for possible spinal injuries.

SUSPECT TO IDENTIFY: The suspect is described as white male, mid thirties, approximately 5’5".

SUSPECT VEHICLE:  Black Toyota Pickup Truck – model year between 2000 -2007.  Possible license plate 114 – Police are not sure if it is BC License Plate or not. There is expected to be damage to the right or passenger side of the suspect vehicle.
