West Vancouver Police Investigate Double Stabbing

West Vancouver police officers continue to investigate a double stabbing that occurred on the Squamish Nation (Capilano Reserve) earlier this morning that sent two people to hospital.

Shortly after 5:00 a.m. West Vancouver Police received a complaint about a stabbing on the Capilano Reserve. Officers quickly located a female victim at the scene and later learned that a second stabbing victim had managed to make his way to the hospital. West Vancouver Police officers contained the scene and within a few hours had managed to locate and arrest two male suspects.

Both victims’ injuries, although serious, are not considered to be life threatening at this time. The female victim has since been released from hospital.

Officers from the West Vancouver Police Department Forensic Identification Unit and Criminal Investigation Section have also been called out to lead the investigation. The North Vancouver RCMP also assisted in the early stages of the investigation.
